Originally the character of the Scarlet Knight was created essentially as a prop in a novel I was writing about a television show.  Through various bizarre machinations eventually the character grew to the point where I decided to give it its own story.  The main difference between the original and this story is that the sex of the Scarlet Knight changed from male to female.  (And BTW, it has nothing to do with any Rutgers sports teams.)
The story deals with that heroine, Emma Earl, a certified genius.  Like any good prospective superhero she was orphaned at a young age.  She obtains her PhD by the age of 19 and returns to her hometown of Rampart City to work at the illustrious Plaine Museum as a geologist studying meteors.  But when a mysterious black crate shows up at the museum, Emma starts hearing voices and destiny is thrust upon her to stop a terrible evil.
This is my crude attempt at a graphic novel script.  It leaves out a lot of stuff from the regular novel version.  And it's probably not much fun to read without the pictures.  Oh well.
Please enjoy A Hero's Journey, Tales of the Scarlet Knight, Volume 1, the graphic novel...!
